There's a blurb in the Fire Help, but I haven't read it yet.

I'm assuming you picked your key in Preferences > Profile.

Only if you have selected a key for the buddy you're talking to.

It *should* only prompt you for your passphrase again if it was invalidly
entered.  Theo will have to address this part further.

As long as you've installed GnuPG from the package installer, you should be
good to go.  Once it's installed, Fire does everything it needs to.
