Hey all,
I've been having a problem that I thought I had resolved but it seems to
have come back.
Here's what I have:
TiBook with version .29b:
AOL* + ICQ** + MSN + Yahoo + IRC accounts
DP 500 G4 with version .29b:
AOL* + ICQ** accounts
* + ** - different accounts are used on each machine
Here's what has happened at least twice on the TiBook:
At some moment in time (ie, not sure what the cause is yet), Fire stops
behaving properly. Fire will be able to receive only a couple messages
before it will lock up. Fire locks up when it receives a message. It
happens when I have an existing window open. If I don't have a window open
when someone sends a message, a window will pop up but no text will appear
and Fire will lock up.
My definition of lock up with respect to Fire is that the spinning CD will
appear.
My solution so far has been to copy my ~/Library/Application
Support/Fire/FireConfiguration.plist and ~/Library/Preferences/Fire.plist
from my DP to my TiBook and to update the connection info to the accounts I
use on my TiBook and all is back to normal.
Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
I have kept the last two sets of plist files if anyone wants to inspect
them.
Thanks.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
