I've just upgraded from 0.28a to 0.29b, because one of my friends was
starting to seriously think I was annoyed with him after I never
replied to his ICQ messages.
I'm on OS X 10.1.2 and he's using OS 9. I never got any messages from
him, but I did receive ok from a friend using Windows 98.
Now that I've upgraded to 0.29b, I can communicate with my fellow Mac
user, but I'm not receiving anything from the guy with Windows.
I tried deleting him and adding him again; no joy. But I added
another Windows user (on icq99b) from the contact list on my Palm
ICQ, and I can swap messages with him no trouble.
So, is 0.29b very picky about which Windows versions it will talk to?
And while I'm here, I can't figure out how authorisation works; it's
not something I've needed to do for months. Anyone got any clues?
Thanks,
Nigel.
