George I checked out this link and my username does not include an @ sign.
It is a relatively new account, 1 week old, which goes to what Eric was
saying.

Doug, once you've typed those commands you can look in your console.app (in
Applications/Utilities) and you will see entries that include fire.

Running console, the entries I see from last night are:
Mar 7 20:44:24 ool-435182fc /Applications/Internet Utilities/Fire (Instant
Messaging)/Fire.app/Contents/MacOS/Fire: objc: Using implementation from
/Applications/Internet Utilities/Fire (Instant
Messaging)/Fire.app/Contents/PreferencePanes/Profile.prefPane/Contents/MacOS
/Profile.

Error: Couldn't get more pager data.

Today, I opened the console in fire and this is what is contained:

10:43 AM - Yahoo - Connected
10:43 AM - AIM/toc - 5 buddies sent to the server.
10:43 AM - AIM/toc - You are now officially online.
10:44 AM - AIM - toc - Disconnected reason 24-User disconnected
10:44 AM - AIM/toc - 5 buddies sent to the server.
10:44 AM - AIM/toc - You are now officially online.

Which is odd because I still have the same symptoms previously described
(yesterday), IOW: ..."Now YIM appears to go online. Brief change in status
from offline - online - offline again. The ICON changes from <connect> to
<disconnect> but I cannot message anyone. I receive the message
"Information: You aren't currently connected for the service Yahoo." Yet,
the <disconnect> is still present."

I'm sorry I can't be of more assistance. HTH. Thank you all for your
continued attention to detail and for your hard work on a great product.

Kevin
