I'm using the TOT build as of this morning (3/18/02).
If Fire is in the background and, say, a buddy signs on, I will see their
name appear in the buddy list with the "just signed on" appearance.
However, the buddy name will stay in that state until I bring Fire to the
foreground.
I mention this because I know one of the recent changes was to how often the
buddy list gets refreshed.
