We haven't yet designed the new interface for transparency.

Have you configured the tool bar yet?  Right click on the toolbar and 
configure it.  You should be able to add a little three button 
do-hickey.  the third button is for setting up your list.

Changing your status is another thing you can add to the toolbar as well.

The toolbar is a *standard* OS X user interface feature .. I hope this 
isn't too confusing ...
