I've been having this problem for months! When I wake my G4 from sleep (and
this happens like once every day or 2) no sound from iTunes, no sound from
Fire, when I check systems sounds, they're off too. I usually fix this by
putting it to sleep and then waking it up again. This seems to have been
working every time but the sound problem still seems to exist even after the
OS upgrade.
It's caused all sorts of other problems like resetting most of my
preferences, my USB peripherals are acting weird, and my emails and address
book in Entourage has been MIA since the upgrade. I guess this is beyond
the scope of this list but I've had nothing but trouble since I upgraded.
