I'm not sure if this is your problem, but if you used the AIM client in
the past, you should make sure that ANYONE can contact you on your
screen name, not just those on your buddy list, and that you don't have
anyone blocked. Apparently some of these preferences are stored on
AOL's servers and thus continue to have an effect even if Fire has
different preferences. Hope this helps.
