Format Errors in System.log
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: CORE-3506
                 URL: http://tracker.firebirdsql.org/browse/CORE-3506
             Project: Firebird Core
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 2.1.4, 2.5.0
Environment: OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.7
            Reporter: Joe Cocchini

When I attempt to install any 32 or 64 bit pkg of Firebird Superserver,
versions 2.1 or 2.5, I get a "Failed" message, along with the admonition to
contact the originator of the software. The error messages are as follows:

Jun 1 08:40:08 My-Name-MacBook-Pro Installer[549]: Package
/Users/JCocchini/Downloads/FirebirdSS-2.5.0-26074-x86_64.pkg uses a deprecated
pre-10.2 format (or uses a newer format but is invalid).

Jun 1 09:41:10 My-Name-MacBook-Pro Installer[904]: Package
/temp/FirebirdSS-2.1.4-18393-x86_64.pkg uses a deprecated pre-10.2 format (or
uses a newer format but is invalid).

Jun 1 10:03:26 My-Name-MacBook-Pro Installer[982]: Package
/temp/FirebirdSS-2.1.4-18393-i386.pkg uses a deprecated pre-10.2 format (or
uses a newer format but is invalid).

I did not attempt installing the 2.5 32 bit package, as I believe it will
result in the same outcome, and I have to move onto other work at the moment.

Please advise.

-Joe
