IIRC, all you need is just to alter the view USERS to its new definition that you can find here: http://firebird.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/firebird/firebird/branches/B2_5_Release/src/dbs/security.sql?revision=57144&content-type=text%2Fplain As you cannot connect to security2.fdb directly, you should copy it into a different name before doing that.
