I have the 500 (TKO). I can start out in first by just releasing the
clutch. I had the 3:08's with the original 4 speed but wanted the car to be
quicker. It still has a nice cruising speed in 5th. I don't know all the
ratio's but I do a lot of split shifting when in traffic - 1st to 3rd, 2nd
to 4th, 3rd to 5th, The motor has so much torque it's easy to do. If you
already have a 4 speed, all you need is a different clutch disc and the
cross member. The shifter from the 4 speed will pop up right through the
console.

Since you mentioned the gear change, I have to ask. DId you buy the 500 or
600 model (the 1st gear is radically different)?
