Hi, all.

I'm still trying to install the .NET provider for Firebird,
but it doesn't work.

I can use object from the FirebirdSql.Data.FirebirdClient.dll
and access my database. But I can't add a Firebird DataSource.
When I press 'add new datasource' there is no dataprovider for
Firebird avialable.

I've read the installation readme for the DDEX:

- I've run teh gac
        gacutil.exe /i FirebirdSql.Data.FirebirdClient.dll /f

- I've added the settings in the machine.config

- I've installed Visual Studio 2005 SDK

I#ve tried it several times, but it didn't work :(

Is there any more detailed description of the installation?

I want to use the new features of Visual Studio 2005 like
DataSet, TableAdapter and Designer support with Firebird, so I need
the DDEX package, right?

Any ideas what's wrong?

Regards

Jürgen
