Hello, this question was answered several times.
First, it's possible to install FB into VS Express instead (!) of one of the standard providers. But that needs a very tricky roundabout way. Next, after installation: I was able to get FirebirdClient into the listbox and could choose. In the next step I set a connectionstring to a database, but then I got an exception, messaged by VSE: "Error while loading a type". Whatever this means: no compatibility between VS C# Express and Firebird, no compatibility between NET-datatypes and FB-datatypes, wrong knowledge of domains by VS and so on. Firebird-Support hasn't any more help. Therefore I was ending to use the designer and make all database-support manually.
