Hi *,

is somebody using DDEX for FB with EE of VS? Works the trick with using
GUID of one already registered provider?

Hello:
Next, after installation: I was able to get FirebirdClient into the
listbox and could choose. In the next step I set a connectionstring to a
database, but then I got an exception, messaged by VSE: "Error while
loading a type".
That i think it's a problem the .net runtime is having while loading
some of the needed classes from
the .net provider assembly or the ddex provider assembly.

Hi,
I was able to get FirebirdClient into the listbox and could choose. In
the next step I set a connectionstring to a database, but then I got an
exception, messaged by VSE: "Error while loading a type".

Whatever this means: no compatibility between VS C# Express and
Firebird, no compatibility between NET-datatypes and FB-datatypes, wrong
knowledge of domains by VS. And Firebird-Support hasn't any more help.

Therefore I was ending to use the designer and make all database-support
manually.

Sorry for no help
