Hi Luis,
Whilst I am no authority on the matter, I would guess that with the
succession of .NET 2.0 as the defacto standard (I believe Windows Server
2008 may not even support .NET 1.1 any longer) you are unlikely to see
changes in the area relating to .NET 1.1.
The only sensible recommendation I could make is evaluate Delphi 2007
which does provide the capabilities to compile for the .NET 2.0
framework, and migrate up onto the newer more readily maintained .NET
2.x Firebird provider, which is also then compatible with the .NET 3.0
and .NET 3.5 frameworks, as these frameworks roughly extend and reuse
the .NET 2 framework data mechanism.
