Well, you should use a certain software for what it was specifically designed 
for. This driver is specifically designed for Firebird and should be used with 
Firebird.

Further, support lists such as this are pretty specific as to what issues they 
respond to. This list is specific to the .NET driver for Firebird.  If someone 
is using it with Interbase, and can help with your specific issue, then 
consider yourself lucky.
