If the exception is coming back as a FbException, isn't there an Errors property that is a list of FbError objects? If I'm remembering correctly the FbError contains more detailed information (message, line number, column number, etc).

I regularly get the above error code. Here is some pseudocode for what I am doing: using (FbTransaction CentralTrans = ((FbConnection)centralConn).BeginTransaction()) { using (FbCommand centralCmd = ((FbConnection)centralConn).CreateCommand()) { centralCmd.Transaction = CentralTrans; // I then repeat the following lots of times FbDataReader reader = null; centralCmd.CommandText = "some sql"; reader = centralCmd.ExecuteReader(); // and finally CentralTrans.Commit(); } } I am putting everything into a try/catch and then a while loop for retrying If I put the ExecuteReader into a loop for retry with a 1sec delay I just get the same error repeated. Is there a way to 1) Get more information as to what is going wrong, 2) put in a retry mechanism that will give a better chance of success on a failure No virus found in this incoming message.
