Your post let me learn about the ADO.NET Trace API. Didn't know that such a 
thing were
available! Right now we are using some trace api of our own factory that help 
us debug our
application when accessing Oracle and SQLServer databases.

Will need to read more about this API and its capabilities but sooner or later 
we might
use it instead ours.
