Let me help you :-) The dialog is closing at once when any input is made in any entryfield or textbox. So you can't specify any connection details. This *also* happens when using the correct MSI installers, *if* your current installation of .net framework and different machine.config files already includes some explicit manual installation of earlier versions of the DDEX driver. Rule at hand: if you already tried (successfully or not) any manual explicit installation, you better check twice if all of the old stuff got removed completely. On a "naked" system, which never saw any manual explicit installation of DDEX provider, installation *never* fails. (*never* of course is a relative term...
