Update:
I tested also the 64 Bit odbc client on the windows 10 machine. Same error. From: Dimitry Sibiryakov <s...@ibphoenix.com> (24. As you have noticed I am totally greenhorn with Firebird. The windows service for Firebird is running. I can connect and query the database with isql and "CONNECT 127.0.0.1:f:\... \....FDB user ...FDB;" But still no test connection in the ODBC with database 127.0.0.1:f:\...\....FDB Is there yet another way to test the server? By the way, the Firebird server is version 2.5, 64 Bit. The ODBC client is the latest one in 32 Bit. Could that cause trouble? I even tried it with an alias. It is working fine in isql, even with "CONNECT 127.0.0.1:alias user...". But in ODBC it works just with database "alias" not with 127.0.0.1:alias.
