New driver can installed with pip install fdb To use the documentation for the moment you can use the kinterbasdb one just for reference http://www.firebirdsql.org/file/documentation/drivers_documentation/python/3.3.0/tutorial.html#connecting-to-a-database this might be handy import fdb as kinterbasdb
