Dear Philippe, Thanks for the note. I did find the Firebird directory in the path that you mentioned. /Library/Frameworks/Firebird.framework/Versions/A/Resources/English.lproj/var/aliases.conf But, since I am a novice, I really could not tell what program or file was using it.
I deleted the User Account, and I have not seen it again. Thank you all very much for your help and advice, Tim On Aug 17, 2011, at 8:30 AM, Philippe Makowski wrote: > 2011/8/16 Lester Caine <les...@lsces.co.uk> > > A number of applications use firebird as their database, so it's a little > > difficult to speculate. > yes > > > Do you have a 'firebird' directory in /etc or > > alternatively in /usr/lib(64) ... > not under MacOsX ;) > under MacOsx you have to look at : > /Library/Frameworks/Firebird.framework/Versions/A/Resources/English.lproj/var/aliases.conf > > > either of these may have an aliases.conf file > > which will then point to the actual database file, and the name of the > > alias or > > the file it's point at might help identify the application. > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Visit http://www.firebirdsql.org and click the Resources item on the main (top) menu.
