[firebird-support] ASCII OR ISO8859_1 to store UTF8 char ?

juste one question, i thing both are the same but with is the best to 
store UTF8 code point ?
ASCII or ISO8859_1 ?

because i thing ASCII can handle only char < 127 right ?
