I will get the log file tomorrow. Thanks for telling me where to find it. 

The drive is a samba drive, but the users do not have access to the databases 
except through Firebird. The databases do not appear to be corrupted. The 
shared samba drive is for writing text files as backups for credits, points, 
receipts, etc.

RAID drive seems to be working fine. Mint does not know it is a RAID because it 
is hardware RAID.
