I'm aware of that. We're using Firebird (since 1.5.0 up to the latest 2.5.2) + IBX (Delphi 7) without problems. Currenty I'm testing XE4 with the latest IBX. My first tests are working with no problem both on x32 and x64.
So maybe its officially not supported.
