Good catch!  All that stuff relates to old versions of those two websites.  I 
have updated the email template so that information should be more useful from 
now on.

Take the Documentation link from the Firebird website, or 
http://www.ibphoenix.com/resources/documents/ at the IBPhoenix site for more 
resources.

Not that I think anything in those places will help you with your corrupt 
firebird.conf.  Those are developer resources, not much help for end-users of 
proprietary software products.  Did you notice that firebird.conf has a large 
amount of self-documentation?  Again, it is directed at developers, not 
software end-users.  But at least it can explain to you why those strange lines 
are causing engine errors.
