I believe you mentioned earlier that you were testing FB3 RC2 on a fresh install. Maybe the old UDFs require the presence of the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 C runtime (msvcr8), while Firebird only provides the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 C runtime (msvcr100).
