Hi!

We have observed, that Firebird 3.0.1 freezes on one specific table for some
10-20 minutes during backup. This freezing happens only in the case when
gfix/mend had been performed before backup. Backup runs smoothly when no
gfix/mend had been performed previously. There are no significat error messages
or warning in Firebird log (even gfix/mend do not produce them). It is know
that this one specific table is updated frequently during production time and
this table can experience long-running transactions (and maybe even unreported
deadlock exceptions). Maybe frequent updates create lot of back-versions of
Firebird records and these backversions are processed during backup.

Are there any ideas what happens and how to prevent it?
