I am unable to get Firebug to open in the same window that I am
inspecting. For me this just works better since I don't have a second
monitor right now and I get tired of chasing windows out from behind
each other.

When I first installed Firebug it did open in the same window, and
then my son showed me how to get it to open in a new window, which is
slick. But now I want to go back and seem to be unable to do so.

Here are the particulars:
- MacPro Laptop running OSX 10.5.5
- Firefox 3.0.1
- Firebug 1.2

I know the instructions are to open Firebug in the same window using
the F12 key and in a new window with Cmd F12.

The Cmd F12 works great at opening in a new window, but when I use F12
by itself, my Widgets appear on my desktop, but not the Firebug
application.

A second way to open in the same window is supposed to be right-mouse
clicking on an element in the window and selecting "Inspect Element".
This also causes Firebug to open in a new window.

A third way to open in the same window is supposed to be via the menu
"Tools/Firebug/Open Firebug". This also results in Firebug opening in
a new window.

I tried reinstalling to see if it would go back to its original
default - to no avail.

Any suggestions? I really, really like what Firebug does. I'm a
newbie at working with html and style sheets and Firebug is a great
learning tool!
