Rowby, Chromebug is a firefox extension, so you need to load it into Firefox first (along with Firebug 1.4).
To run it, run firefox with the command line option "-chromebug'". You don't need or want the chrome URL with .xul any more. I'll try to fix the page you found. jjb On Feb 24, 6:25 am, Rowby <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi > > I see the instructions on this page to add chromebug to Chrome: > > "http://getfirebug.com/chromebug/usingChromebug/t1/index.html > > Using the operating system command line, add the command line > parameters: > > -chrome chrome://chromebug/content/chromebug.xul -firefox > > This causes firefox to load chromebug as a XUL application, then > Chromebug starts Firefox" > > My question is I downloaded chromebug-0.5.0a1.xpi and have it in a > folder called C:\chromebug > > Don't I need to (somewhere) reference the C:\chromebug > \chromebug-0.5.0a1.xpi in the above command line? > > Particularly confusing to me is the uxl extension, when I downloaded a > file with a xpi extension. :) > > If so, can someone provide the complete command line using the above > C: drive and folder as an example. > > Thanks > > Rowby --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
