I just had idea for a function that I think would work nicely with firebug.
A lot of times as I am browsing around the web, I notice bits and pieces of pages that particularly stand out to me as something I'd like to use in one of my own projects: a cool header design, some good grid layout, or some colors that go really well together. I could use the "save page as" function on firefox, but I'm not always interested in the entire page, and I might not want to slough through 10 linked css files to find the bits of magic that do I like. It would be cool If I could go into firebug, highlight the section of code on the page that I am interested in, and do a "save as" that would cut that part in to a small standalone html file, find all of the css, images, and scripts associated with that part of the page, and stick it into a folder that I could browse later when I am working. I won't get around to coding this idea up for a long, long time, but I thought I'd throw it out to the community to see what other people thought.
