Dan,

There are three different issues here:

  1) FF 3.1b3: We're making good progress, only 483672 is a serious
problem.

  2) Nightly builds on trunk: No information, I just can't keep up
with trunk. If I try then I won't be able to solve the problems
Chromebug itself has. Firebug team is close to having a test suite to
run, so if we can get Firebug to run on trunk then we should be able
to track changes and hopefully give rapid feedback to avoid falling
back. This does not address Chromebug but it would help.

  3) Thunderbird: I know of one major problem: Chromebug relies on
Firebug which relies on some DTD and CSS 'browser' files. I tried to
reproduce 1553, but I could not see it. I asked on the
mozilla.development.xul about your error message but got no hints.
Let's continue on the bug report, I'll make some suggestions.
