This result is a direct consequence of your detailed post which
allowed me to understand this issue. Thanks.

Hide? What is that? MInimize? or "Off"

For the external window the plan is:
  OS window controls:
[_] OS minimize, to OS bar for example
      [O] OS maximize
      [X] Close window
  FIrebug window controls:
[X] Off, deactivate the current page and hide the UI.
