Well, it's trickier than that. I need Firebug to be *active* whenever I'm on a page from the site I'm developing, meaning I need it capturing console output, tripping breakpoints, and listening for network traffic from the instant the page starts loading. (I don't care if it's open or not, but it's gotta be active.) In 1.3 this was trivial, and indeed one could easily see and modify the list of domains so configured for each tab. In 1.4 it's impossible to specify anything resembling those settings just for the one domain and no- where else; the best you can do is hope it follows all your clicks to all the different pages and remembers that you had Firebug active, and also hope you never accidentally hit the Close button on the console, which permanently *de*activates Firebug for that URL. (Oh, and hope you never manually enter an URL, because then it'll never start active.)
