The solution for your issue is simple: don't use tracing on gmail.com.
That page has a huge number of errors and tracing the error processing
is slow.
In addition there are some serious performance problems in 1.4 that
affect gmail.com. As I commented on the bug report, you can use 1.5 on
gmail.com.

I'm not sure what you are saying here, but I'll pass on reading
through the trace unless you have a specific problem. The site just
dumps a lot of errors, that's it.
