The green icon was used in the Firebug 1.0 version, these instructions
are outdated.

To disable Firebug for any site, just turn it off by clicking in the "off"
button (top-right corner) in the UI.

You can also try clearing the Activation List, by right-clicking the
bug icon in the status bar (bottom-right of FF window), and
selecting "Clear Activation List".
