I guess you have Firebug open in a window outside of the browser frame
and that you have not reloaded the page.  Then you have issue 3886

This one is fixed in Firebug 1.7a8, please try it and let us know.
The workaround for 1.6.1 is to reload the page.  You should only see
this when you open in new window after being in-browser.
