hi mike, thanks for response. i have already set the shortcut (in tools>firebug>customize shortcuts) to "ctrl shift c" and i both disabled web developer toolbar and checked in about:config that the only keyboard shortcut that is using ctrl shift c is firebug...
so, there is some sort of weird bug that is interfering with it. thanks again and looking forward to hearing the message!
