Hi there! I just wanted to share one idea with you guys.
I am a web designer and using firebug for a long period of time. My work requires to be quickly done so workflow has to be the quickest possible. During my work i noticed something that slows me down while using Firebug. Its about CSS Source Editor tab. I am working with multiple CSS style sheets that has lots of styles defined. Many times i get frustrated bu that tiny search box in the top right corner of the Firebug window. I think it is not functional enough. I think this feature can be improved to help HTML/CSS coders do their work more effectively. Suggestions: 1. When i type in something like "div.event" into the search I'd like to have "div.event" highlighted so i can easily spot it. As i have dual screen I just maximize the CSS Source editor tab on one screen and monitor the changes on the other. It takes time to search over the screen and spot the thing i was looking for. 2. I like that FF default search box at the bottom of the FF window... yes, the one that appears when you hit Ctrl+F. It has nice Next ans Previous options as well as Highlight all and Match case... Thats exactly what Firebug needs! It is simple, effective and i love it! I think implementing this kind of feature might help many web designers and make life easier! Thats my observation. :) All the best! Vlad -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
