I am writing my first extension for FB, and I am probably missing something obvious about setting some default preference.
Is the defaults/preferences/prefs.js supposed to create the preferences set in it or should I create it in the extension's js? It seems that it does not create anything: after installing the extension the preferences are not visible in about:conf, but if I create them manually the extension will use change/save them as expected. So what is the canonical way to create a preference entry when a user installs the extension?
