Hi CarlStein,

I don't know, if Firefox now silently updates add-ons, but that's
nothing Firebug can or does influence.
The update process is all part of Firefox.
Note, that as a Firebug contributor I am also not happy about the
change with the icon I can just advise you, that there are two
solutions how you can get it back to the bottom.
