I never tried Waterfox, but you can get the Firebug source here: https://github.com/firebug/firebug
Note that the current release of Firebug (1.11.4) just works on toolkit applications of version 17<https://github.com/firebug/firebug/blob/7269915447cd4b0d5dcdf0624663bdd387a8544c/extension/install.rdf#L12>and higher. So you should compile the latest version of Waterfox (which is currently 18.0.1). If that doesn't already work, you may need to adjust the chrome.manifest file by adding Waterfox' id: https://github.com/firebug/firebug/blob/7269915447cd4b0d5dcdf0624663bdd387a8544c/extension/install.rdf#L21 Sebastian On Monday, June 10, 2013 12:13:36 PM UTC+2, Richard Rieger wrote: > > Hello All: > > Just downloaded and tested version 16 of Firefox, re-compiled for x64 win7 > machines and it is extremely fast. > > When the add-on for Firebug attemts to load , Waterfox cries that it is > incompatible. > > Is there a way to load the source code, clone it with git gui and then > migrate the branch to extensions for Waterfox? > > Thanks In advance. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
