As mentioned before in this thread, the problem is rather the manpower. Firebug is currently maintained by a handful of people <https://github.com/firebug/firebug/graphs/contributors?from=2013-08-09&to=2014-08-09&type=c> . So what a Firebug for Chrome would need is programmers.
