It's working fine for me using Firefox 24.0 + Firebug 1.12.8 on Win8.1. See 
the screenshot below.

Though note that your versions of Firefox and Firebug are outdated and 
unmaintained. The current ESR version of Firefox is 31.0 and of Firebug 
2.0.2. So I suggest you to update your versions first and try it again. If 
it's still not working, try to install Firebug into a new profile 
<https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Install_Firebug_into_a_clean_profile> 
and see if it's working there.
