Hi Jan, I created a new profile as per the instructions and re-installed firebug. Firebug was the only extension I had installed anyway.
I then refreshed the page and the browser hang was gone. However, I started enabling all the firebug panels, refreshing the page one by one. As soon as I enabled the script panel and refreshed the page, the browser started to hang.
