A quick test with those extensions installed on a new profile of Firefox 36.0 on Win8.1 didn't show any problems regarding JavaScript. Did you already try creating a new profile <https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/Install_Firebug_into_a_clean_profile>? There are also some more steps described on the first aid page <https://getfirebug.com/wiki/index.php/I_found_a_Firebug_Bug!#To_understand_the_problem_so_it_can_be_fixed> you should follow in order to create a reproducible test case.
