The Inspector panel allows to search by CSS selectors, just try it out.
Searching within the Inspector panel by XPath was rejected (see bug 963933 
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=963933>), because you can 
already do that via the $x() command 
<https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Web_Console/The_command_line_interpreter#Helper_commands>
 
and there didn't seem to be enough use case for having it in the Inspector.
