Dear firewall/SDSL experts,

I am a real newbie to this "Internet security" thing. My
experience with networking was so far exclusively on
the LAN level, while Internet experience - on the level
of dial-up, using e-mail pop/smtp servers set up by
the ISP, and FTP-ing to the site hosting a Web page.

With all the luck, this will all change in 3-4 weeks, if
and when Concentric Network people will confirm 384K
SDSL service is possible and install it. The router will
be Flowpoint 2200, which has an optional Firewall for
an extra $300 (in addition to $500 for the router itself).

My questions are:

How good/bad is this "firmware" Firewall? Should we
use it at all or should we go with generic Firewall
software? If using "firmware" Firewall, should we use
it alone or in combination with other firewall products?

Will we need a single machine with 2 network cards in
any case? WIll we need to setup any proxy servers?
What would it take to have more than one domain on
the site?

Any answers/hints/pointers are greatly appreciated.

[
There gotta be a good source for this type of
questions (except, may be, for Flowpoint 2200 firewall
    specific stuff)...

Thanks,

Boris.
