Question: How would you otherwise
                send a non-anonymous password to a FTP server if all your
using is a web
                browser?

Answer: use ftp://username:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
<ftp://username:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

If you think this is a secure way of using passwords though I don't think I
could agree.

                Spiff (John),

                Not to sound impolite but the man pages offer some info.
Also, Linux Journal

                has a FWTK article in their archives. Question: How would
you otherwise
                send a non-anonymous password to a FTP server if all your
using is a web
                browser?
