Yes,
There are actually a few switch vendors with embedded firewalls.
Xylan has embedded CheckPoint Firewall-1 in to their switch.
The Xylan product practically carries all the same firewall capabilities as
Firewall-1 on a Sun Sparc running Solaris.
Fore Systems has a Gigabit speed switch with CheckPoint Firewall-1 as well.
The Fore systems switch offers up to 20 Gbps of switching, routing,
firewalling.
( This switch will perform at these speeds without NAT. Currently there are
no NAT implementation's that
will support Gigabit speeds to my knowledge.)
This is just an example of some vendors and there product.
